Bungee Jumping

Bungee Jumping

Bungee or also spelled bungy jumping is the act of diving off a very tall structure with an elastic band attached to your legs and when the elastic stretches out too much it rockets you back up into the air until you stop completely hanging in the air. The thrill of this crazy action comes from the adrenaline rush that you get when you free fall through the air and it seems like nothing is gonna catch you then all of a sudden the cord tightens and you go flying back up the way you came. People jump from many different places, mostly from a structure that is immovable, however some people have bungee jumped from movable objets like a hot air balloon and a helicopter.  Bungee jumping began when a film crew brought back footage of land divers that would attach vines to their legs and jump to show their courage and pass into manhood. The highest bungee jump ever recorded was in 2005 when AJ Hackett bungeed of the Macau Tower and free fell 764 feet. There are many risks, injuries, and possibly death which is something to be considered, however the enjoyment and rush that you can get from free falling is something that i want to experience before I die.

Scuba Diving

Before I die I would like to scuba dive at the Great Barrier Reef. The Great Barrier Reef is located off the coast of Queensland, Australia and is said to be the best place in the world to scuba dive. SCUBA, or self-contained underwater breathing apparatus is the tank that you put on your back that allows you to breathe underwater. The scuba tank is much better than snorkeling, free diving, and the airline; the tank allows more range and longer time underwater. However before going out and scuba diving, there a few things that you have to do first. There are multiple ways you can get certified, for example, online and a class. To get certified you have to go through a course and take multiple test runs in a pool with an instructor. After proving that you can handle yourself underwater you will be ready to take on the real thing and head to the most beautiful scuba diving spot in the world, the Great Barrier Reef. At these reefs you can see many things such as ship wrecks, coral gardens, thousands of species of marine animals, as well as under water canyons.
